MI Emirates (MIE) will be up against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) in the 17th match of the International League T20. This match will be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The winner of the Eliminator will then play the losing team of Qualifier 1 to decide the second finalist. Dubai will host Qualifier 1 and the final, Abu Dhabi the eliminator while Qualifier 2 will take place in Sharjah.

MI Emirates won the previous match against Sharjah Warriors by nine wickets. They restricted Sharjah to 176 in the 20 overs and later chased it down under 18 overs on the back of a century from Tom Banton. While Abu Dhabi Knight Riders lost the previous match against Gulf Giants by 37 runs. They managed to score 176 in the first innings and kept down Gulf Giants to just 139. The last time these two sides met was a few days back where MI Emirates came out on top.
