Railways lost an early wicket at the score of six but was followed by a couple of solid partnerships, with the wicketkeeper Nuzhat Parween smashing a fantastic century. They were able to post a good total of 248 runs. Tamil Nadu had made a good start, with the opening stand lasting for 61 runs, but after the fall of the first wicket, they just kept losing one after the other. Soon enough, they were bowled out and lost the game by 112 runs.
