Mumbai will take on Bengal in the second semi-final game of the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2023 on Tuesday (November 7) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
Mumbai defeated Madhya Pradesh in the quarter-final game by 13 runs after posting 135 runs for the loss of eight wickets on the board. Simran Shaikh and Vrushali Bhagat played crucial roles with the bat. Shaikh scored 42 runs off 30 deliveries, while Bhagat made 36 off 27. Madhya Pradesh could make only 122 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Jhanvi Kate was the most successful bowler for Mumbai and picked two wickets for 10 runs in four overs.
Bengal defeated defending champions Railways in the quarter-final game. Railways were bundled out for just 95 runs in 20 overs. Only two batters managed to make a double-digit score for Railways. Titas Sadhu, Saika Ishaque, and Mita Paul took wickets each for Bengal. Shrayosi Aich picked the remaining one wicket. Bengal won the game in 19.3 overs with four wickets in hand. Richa Ghosh made 25 runs off 22 deliveries and was the highest scorer for Bengal.
