Netherlands (NED) will be up against Sri Lanka (SL) in the 19th match of the Cricket World Cup at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on October 21. The Netherlands have won just one game out of the three that they have played and are placed eighth. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are yet to win any match so far and are languishing at the bottom of the table.
The Netherlands squared off against South Africa in their last match, where South Africa won the toss and elected to field. After a decent start, once the opening stand broke, they kept losing wickets in a heap and were reduced to 140 at the loss of seven wickets. Scott Edwards played a captain’s knock of 78, which took his team to a good score of 245 in a reduced match of 43 overs a side. South Africa could never really start the way they would have wished and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The Netherlands gave a huge setback to the tournament, winning the match by 38 runs over South Africa.
Sri Lanka played against Australia in their last match, where Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat. They were off to a fantastic start as both their openers looked to be in great touch, amassing 125 runs for the first wicket. Both the openers notched up their fifties, but as soon as they fell, the entire team fell one after the other, being bowled out for just 209. Australia seemed to fumble even in this small target at the start. They lost two wickets early but was followed by good partnerships later on and eventually won the match by five wickets.

Player Picks
Bas de Leede NED | BAT
Leede has proved to be an absolute match-winner for his side, especially in this World Cup. He has amassed a total of 87 runs and seven wickets in three games.
Kusal Mendis SL | WK
Mendis looks to be in phenomenal form, amassing 207 runs at a strike rate of 156.82 in three matches. He is brilliant with his glovework as well and can be the captain you are looking for.
Dilshan Madushanka SL | BOWL
Madushanka has been bowling with tight line and length, hence taking away seven wickets in just three matches. He can be another good choice for captaincy roles.
Scott Edwards NED | WK
Edwards proved what he is worth in the last game, where he led the way from the front. He played a match-winning knock of 78 and can keep the wickets as well.
Sadeera Samarawickrama SL | WK
Samarickrama has made a brilliant century in the tournament and would be looking forward to repeating the same again. He can be a useful pick for the team.
Colin Ackermann NED | BAT
Ackerman has been doing a good job of contributing to the team with the bat as well as the ball. He has mustered 98 runs and three wickets in three games.
Paul van Meekeren NED | BOWL
Meekeren has been bowling beautifully and has scalped five wickets at an economy of 5.79 in three matches. He can swing his bat around for a few balls as well.
Roelof van der Merwe NED | ALL
Merwe is one of the team's senior-most players with immense experience to his aid. He has scalped four wickets in three games and scored 34 runs.
Logan van Beek NED | BOWL
Logan has played just two games but has made his presence felt in the duration. He has taken away four wickets with the ball and scored 38 runs with the bat.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Teja Nidamanuru
NED | BOWL
Nidamaru has played all three games but has been able to score just 46 runs from them. He can be avoided from your team.
Max O'Dowd
NED | BAT
Max, too, has had a similar performance and has failed to make his mark yet. He should not be present in your fantasy team.
