New Zealand will be up against Australia in the 2nd Test of the Australia tour of New Zealand at Hagley Oval in Christchurch from March 8. After completely dominating and clean-sweeping the Kiwis in the T20I series, Australia started the Test Series on a high as well and won the first of the two-match test series.
These teams squared off against each other in the first Test of the series, where New Zealand won the toss and elected to field. Australia started decently, but after the first loss, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Green stood his ground from one end as he smashed 174, taking his team to 383 runs. New Zealand started the innings horribly as they had lost five wickets at just the score of 29. Phillips and Henry played handy knocks down the order, which could save them the face, but still were bowled out for 179, having a first-inning deficit of 204 runs.
Australia, in the third innings, had a similar fallout as did the Kiwis in the second innings. A couple of batters got starts but none of them were able to capitalise on it to convert it into bigger totals. They were bundled together for 164 giving a target of 369 runs. This was a daunting task for the Kiwis, and they needed to start well if they wished to achieve this feat. They did not start well yet again and looked in trouble. Rachin Ravindra did play a good knock worth 59 but did not receive much support from the other end to save the team. As a result, they were bowled out for just 196, losing the game by 172 runs.

Player Picks
Cameron Green AUS | ALL
Green was sensational in the last match with the bat as he smashed 208 runs which included a splendid knock of 174. He should be the leader of your fantasy side.
Nathan Lyon AUS | BOWL
Lyon dismantled the Kiwis with his spin trickery as he scalped over 10 wickets in the game. He was more than handy with the bat too scoring a total of 46 runs.
Glenn Phillips NZ | WK
Phillips brought New Zealand back into the game with a fantastic spell where he took five wickets. He scored 72 runs in the last game as well making him another good choice for leadership roles.
Matt Henry NZ | BOWL
Henry was the most successful bowler from the Kiwi's side as he took away eight wickets in the game. He had scored 56 runs with the bat too.
Rachin Ravindra NZ | ALL
Rachin was the only batter who looked like he belonged to the game in the last innings of the match. He had scored 59 runs in the inning.
Kane Williamson NZ | BAT
Williamson could not do anything else apart from scoring just nine runs in the two innings. He has been in amazing form recently and would be expected to make a sensational comeback here.
Josh Hazlewood AUS | BOWL
Hazlewood bowled well in the game to pick up four wickets at an economy of 3.46. He had scored 23 runs with the bat too when needed for the team.
Usman Khawaja AUS | BAT
Usman had scored 61 runs in the previous game which included four boundaries and one huge six. He can be a good budget pick for your fantasy team.
Tom Blundell NZ | WK
Blundell could only score 33 runs batting in both innings of the game. However, he was brilliant with his wicketkeeping work and can fetch you hefty points.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Scott Kuggeleijn
NZ | ALL
Scott was very expensive in the last game as he was smashed around for runs. He should stay away from your fantasy team.
Will Young
NZ | BAT
Young did not impress by his performances in the last match which included a dropped catch as well. He should not find a place in your team.
