Preview
New Zealand will be up against Australia in the 3rd T20I of the Australia tour of New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on February 25. Australia has bossed the proceedings so far with two wins in a row and they have already won this series. They would be looking for another win and a clean sweep of the Kiwis.
The last game between the two sides which was the first game of the series was held at the same venue where New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl. With a new opening pair, Australia started explosively as Head went berserk. The second partnership was probably the best one after Smith was sent back by Ferguson. However, once the partnership broke, they kept losing wickets regularly and were not able to form partnerships. After Head’s 45, Cummins’ 28 came in handy as they were bowled out for 174.
A good total awaited the New Zealand team but due to an unfortunate incident Devon Conway got hurt during the match and had to be kept absent hurt. This was a big blow to the Kiwis as they struggled to keep going. Their entire top-order could have scores in single digits only but it was Glenn Phillips who came to bat at four and anchored the innings for a while. He did not receive much help from the other end as batters kept coming and going away. Within no time, the New Zealand team was bowled out for 102 losing the game by 72 runs.

Player Picks
Mitchell Marsh AUS | ALL
Marsh has been brilliant from both ends of the game amassing 98 runs and scalping two wickets. He would be a smart choice for captaincy roles.
Lockie Ferguson NZ | BOWL
Ferguson bowled the best spell of the series in the last game which made him the highest wicket-taker so far here. He has picked up five wickets in just two games.
Glenn Phillips NZ | WK
With Devon Conway out of the picture, Rachin would surely come back to the team. He was sensational in the last game he played and would be expected to do the same again.
Mitchell Santner NZ | ALL
Although Santner has not been able to get his team runs with the bat, he has been the most consistent bowler. He has scalped away four wickets with an economy of 9.63.
Adam Zampa AUS | BOWL
After Zampa was smashed for runs in the first game, made a brilliant comeback in the last game. He picked up four wickets in the spell and simply won the game for his team.
Travis Head AUS | BAT
Head produced yet another fantastic knock with the bat in the previous match. He has smashed 69 runs at a strike rate of 186.49 in these two games.
Glenn Phillips NZ | WK
When none of the Kiwi batters could get going in the last match, Phillips did the work for them. He played a sensible innings of 42 runs.
Pat Cummins AUS | BOWL
Cummins has well established himself as an all-rounder in the white ball formats. He has scored 28 runs while has scalped two wickets in these matches too.
Tim David AUS | BAT
David is a fantastic finisher of the game and he has been splendid with his work. He has smashed 48 runs at a strike rate of 165.52 in the series.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Mark Chapman
NZ | ALL
Chapman has not been able to make his mark so far in the series. He should not find a place in the team.
Steve Smith
AUS | BAT
Smith could not do much playing the last game. He can be kept out of your fantasy team.
