This match will be played at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. After winning the ODI series with a dominant whitewash at home, the New Zealand women’s team suffered a defeat in the opening first T20I against Sri Lanka, set to take place on Friday, March 14. 

New Zealand Women outclassed Sri Lanka in the three-match ODI series with a 2-0 victory. The first match ended in a no result due to rain, but New Zealand bounced back in the second, securing a commanding 78-run win thanks to Maddy Green's brilliant century and Eden Carson’s four-wicket haul. In the third ODI, Sri Lanka endured an even heavier defeat, losing by 98 runs.

Sri Lanka Women won the opening match of the series against New Zealand by seven wickets. They restricted New Zealand Women to 101 in the first innings and it proved to b a below par total as Sri Lanka cruised to the chase on the back of half century by Chamari Atappattu. This should be a closely fought game
