Pakistan and Afghanistan will play the fourth match of the Super Four stage of Asia Cup 2022 on Wednesday (September 7) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Pakistan won their first game of this stage against India on Sunday by 5 wickets after chasing a target of 182 runs in 19.5 overs. This will only be the third T20I match between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The first game between both teams took place at Sharjah only back in 2013. The second game was played last year during the last edition of the T20 World Cup.
Afghanistan lost their first game of the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2022 against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka chased down the target of 176 runs with four wickets and five deliveries remaining. To remain in the competition and qualify for the final, Afghanistan needs to win the next two games by a significant margin.
