Pakistan (PAK) will be up against Nepal (NEP) in the 1st match of the Asia Cup 2023 at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan on August 30. Pakistan are coming off a brilliant series where they clean-swept Afghanistan and would be looking forward to continuing with the winning momentum. Nepal, on the other hand, have also been in decent form, with two wins from the last five matches.
Pakistan had played against Afghanistan in their last match, where Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. Choosing to bat was not too bad a decision as they had a decent opening stand, but what stood out was the third wicket partnership where Babar and Rizwan both went on to score fifties. Their knock helped Pakistan push to a total of 268 runs. Afghanistan, in reply, did not start as they needed to and kept losing wickets. Even though Mujeeb smashed the fastest fifty by an Afghan player, the total still seemed to be more, and they lost the match by 59 runs.
Nepal had squared off against Ireland in their last encounter, where Ireland won the toss, and they elected to field. Nepal’s start was a little slow, but after the fall of the first wicket, they upped their scoring rate. A couple of good partnerships and a fantastic finish towards the end by a fifty from Gulsan Jha took Nepal’s total to 268 runs. Ireland lost early wickets but managed to come back in the middle. They kept losing wickets regularly, which kept the match exciting, and Ireland managed to win the game by two wickets in the last over.

Babar Azam PAK | BAT
Babar has been one of the most consistent batters in international cricket across formats. He should be the one to lead your fantasy team in this match.
Imam ul Haq PAK | BAT
Keeping his recent form in mind, Imam can be another good option to captain your fantasy side. He has scored 2884 runs in 62 ODI matches in his career.
Shadab Khan PAK | ALL
Shadab has been one the best match-winners for his side in the white ball formats. He has scored 721 runs and scalped 77 wickets playing 59 matches.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Mohammad Haris
PAK | WK
Haris has not been able to impress much with his performances lately and can be left out of the team's setup.
Pratis GC
NEP | BAT
Pratis has not been able to perform to the credit he holds. He should not find a place in your fantasy team.
