Preview
Pakistan (PAK) will take on South Africa (SA) in the third match of the ODI Tri-Series. This match will be played at Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore. Both these teams have lost their previous match against New Zealand. Hosts Pakistan suffered a 78-run defeat in the opening match. South Africa lost by eight wickets in the second game after the Kiwis chased down a target of 304.
New Zealand have qualified for the Final and this is a knockout match between these two sides and the winner of this match will play New Zealand in the Final on 14th February. South Africa are without their full-strength squad for this series with many players missing due to SA20 commitments which just ended a few days back. South Africa were put into bat first in the last game and Breetze scored 150 in his ODI debut to help his side post 304. Devon Conway and Kane Williamson scored 97 and 133 not out and shared 187 off 155 as Kiwis crusied through the chase.
On the other hand, Pakistan were extremely disappointing in the opening match as they let New Zealand score 330 runs batting first and they were never in the chase once Fakhar Zaman who made a quality half century got out. All the other batters struggled and they will be keen to bounce back against this young South African side. This promises to be an exciting match.
