Their bowlers restricted the MEC Study Group to 155 in 18.1 overs and won the match by 77 runs. Awais Rafi Muhammad was the lone warrior as he scored 76 runs off 36 balls. Chennai Fire Boys played the second semi-final against Gujarat Lions, restricting Gujarat Lions to just 93 in 14.5 overs. Muthu Karuppasamy scalped three wickets. Chennai Fire Boys chased the target in 15.2 overs and won the game by three wickets. Shirishkumar Patel scalped three wickets, but it wasn't enough for his team to take it towards victory.
