Bavaria had played against Rugby CC in their last encounter, where Bavaria won the toss and elected to bat. On a slow pitch, Bavaria did not start well as the opening stand could only last for 19 runs. Once the first wicket fell, others kept following one after the other as only two of the batters could score in double digits. They could only post a total of 56 runs. Rugby too did not start too well in return. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals as well but the chase was never too huge to create problems as they won the game by six wickets.
