Pakistan Under-19s will be up against Sri Lanka Under-19s in the 5th Youth ODI of the Sri Lanka Under-19s tour of Pakistan at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on October 31. On a good batting track, Pakistan started decently, with the opening stand broken at 20 runs, but a fabulous second-wicket partnership between Shahzaib Khan and Saad Baig worth 93 runs put them right back in the game. However, after this pair was broken, the wickets kept tumbling as they failed to make partnerships and were bowled out for a paltry score of 186.

In reply, Sri Lanka Under-19s did not start the chase too well as they lost their first wicket at just the score of 17, which was followed by three more wickets in scoring the next 25 runs. They looked in trouble, and that is when the pair of Rusanda Gamage and Dinura Kalupahana took matters into their own hands and stitched together a crucial partnership of 84 runs. By the time they were gone, the match was virtually almost theirs, and the lower middle order did not fumble anymore to chase the total down. They won the game by three wickets.
