Paarl Royals will take on Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the third match of the SA20 2025. This match will be played at Boland Park in Paarl. This season is set to be even bigger, with a number of T20 stars signing up for the tournament. The top-four teams in the six-team league will qualify for the knockouts, which will have qualifiers and an eliminator. Gqeberha is set to host the first qualifier while Centurion will stage the eliminator and second qualifier. The final will be held in Johannesburg on February 8.

Paarl Royals will be led by Miller and their batting line-up boasts of players like Joe Root, David Miller and Dinesh Karthik while they also have local experienced players like Andile Phehlukwayo, Bjorn Fortuin and Lungi Ngidi in the squad. They will miss the services of Jos Buttler this season but they have enough depth in that squad to feel like they can go all the way.

Having won the tournament in 2023 and 2024, Sunrisers, under captain Markram and coach Birell will be looking to go three on the trot. They have some very good local players like Markram, Marco Jansen, Tristan Stubbs, David Bedingham and Ottneil Baartman. Zak Crawley, Richard Gleeson and Liam Dawson are some of the big overseas player in the side. They suffered a defeat against MI Cape Town in the opening match.
