Punjab and Baroda will play the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 on Monday (November 6) at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Abhimanyu Singh picked four wickets for 29 runs in four overs and won the Player of the Match award. Ninad Rathva was the highest scorer for Baroda and made 44 runs off just 26 deliveries.
Punjab took on Delhi in a high-scoring encounter in the semi-final. Delhi scored 183 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs while batting first. Siddarth Kaul picked three wickets for 27 runs for Punjab. In reply, Punjab reached the 184-run mark in 18.4 overs with the help of a solid partnership of 102 runs between Abhishek Sharma and Mandeep Singh for the fourth wicket. Abhishek scored 77 runs off just 45 deliveries and was adjudged Player of the Match.
