Home side Rajasthan Royals are all set to turn their fortunes around against Kolkata Knight Riders in the sixth thriller of the Indian Premier League 2025, slated to take place on Wednesday, March 26, at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Both sides are heading into this fixture after suffering defeats in their opening encounters.
While the Royals came under fire from Sunrisers' enterprising show, even after responding with 242/6, they fell 44 runs short of the hammering they witnessed in the first innings. On the other hand, the Knight Riders' opening game saw them getting handsomely beaten by RCB by seven wickets.
Riyan Parag and his team will look to change their fortunes, hoping to put on a good show with the ball, which took quite a beating—especially with frontline pacer Jofra Archer conceding 76 runs, the worst figures in the history of the league. However, the way the batters responded, with Sanju Samson (66), Dhruv Jurel (70), Shimron Hetmyer (42), and Shubham Dubey (34*), would give the Royals bundles of confidence to open their account.
On the other hand, KKR can take inspiration from their new skipper Ajinkya Rahane's marvellous start (56) and Sunil Narine's fiery 44 at the top. However, the collapse in the middle overs didn't help their cause, as Iyer, Rinku, and Russell were found wanting. While the bowlers had a terrible run as well—except for Sunil Narine's 1/27—each one was taken to the cleaners. Varun Chakravarthy will have to find his mojo again, along with the pacers, if KKR want to get on the points table.

Here are some of the players one can't miss to have him in their Dream 11 team:
Angkrish Raghuwanshi: The 20-year-old talented lad from Delhi had already impressed for KKR in their title-winning season. He had smashed 163 runs while striking at 151.96 last year while batting at No. 3. In this tournament opener, Raghuwanshi scored 30 at No. 5. With an array of delectable strokes at his disposal, he would love to bat upfront in a bid to have a breakthrough season.
Ramandeep Singh: Chandigarh-born hard-hitting all-rounder burst onto the scene in the last edition with a solid strike rate of 201. While the wickets kept tumbling at the other end, leaving him stranded in this year's opener, Ramandeep would like to continue unleashing his long levers from where he left off last season.
Shubham Dubey: The 30-year-old power-hitting sensation from Vidarbha might not have gotten many chances in his debut season for the Royals in 2014. However, he has already announced his arrival by smashing 34 off 11 balls while coming in at No. 7. Dubey has strengthened his case for a longer rope this year. The mesmerizing cameo saw him taking down Australian heavyweights Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa nonchalantly, raising hopes for plenty more blitzkrieg knocks to come.
Tushar Deshpande: With a newly found home at RR, Tushar has already put up a stellar show, picking up 3/44 in a game where his compatriots were taken down heavily by SRH en route to posting 286/6. He brought his wicket-taking ability to the fore by applying variations exceedingly well.
