Rwanda Women will be up against Nigeria Women in the 17th match of the Kwibuka Women's T20I 2024 on Tuesday (June 3) at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Kigali City. Rwanda took on Kenya in their last outing in the tournament, where Kenya elected to bowl after winning the toss. They scored 95 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs with the help of skipper Marie Bimenyimana’s knock of 52 runs off 64 deliveries. Alice Ikuzwe bowled an exceptional spell and became only the third bowler to take a five-wicket haul for Rwanda in T20Is. She finished with five wickets for 12 runs in 3.3 overs. Kenya were bundled out for just 43 runs and lost the match by 52 runs. Ikuzwe won the Player of the Match award for her bowling performance.

Nigeria locked horns against Botswana in their last outing, where Botswana elected to bat after winning the toss. They could make only 56 runs in 20 overs and only a single batter managed to breach the 10-run mark. Lillian Udeh and Lucky Piety took three wickets each for Nigeria. Nigeria reached the target of 57 runs in 8.4 overs and won by nine wickets. Piety scored 19 runs off 12 deliveries and won the Player of the Match award for her all-round performance.
