South Africa Women (SA-W) will take on Sri Lanka Women (SL-W) in the third ODI match of the Sri Lanka Women Tour Of South Africa 2024 at the Senwes Park, Potchefstroom on Wednesday, April 17. The hosts are currently 1-0 ahead in the three-match series after the first match ended without a result due to rain.
In the second match, Sri Lanka lost the toss and were invited to bat first. Three-wicket hauls from Nadine de Klerk and Ayabonga Khaka restricted the visitors to 229/10 in 49.5 overs. South Africa, in reply, crossed the target in 47.4 overs, thanks to a brilliant hundred from captain Laura Wolvaardt. Marizanne Kapp also contributed her share with an unbeaten 77 off 84 balls.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the three-match T20I series 2-1. South Africa have a good record against the visitors in the 50-over format and it remains to be seen if Chamari Athapaththu and Co. can script history and leave the rainbow nation on a high.

Player Picks
Laura Wolvaardt SA-W | BAT
Laura Wolvaartd is the leading run-scorer in the series with 151 runs. The Proteas skipper scored a match-winning hundred in the second ODI.
Chamari Atapattu SL-W | ALL
Chamari Atappattu is the backbone of the Sri Lankan team. She was the top-scorer of the team in the second ODI (51 off 69 balls). Atapattu can also chip in with some wickets, making her an ideal candidate for the role of captaincy.
Marizanne Kapp SA-W | ALL
Marizanne Kapp scored an unbeaten 77 in the second ODI and bowled at an excellent economy of 2.4. She is one of the finest all-rounders in women's cricket and you should not miss her in your fantasy teams.
Nadine de Klerk SA-W | BOWL
Nadine de Klerk grabbed three wickets in the last match at an economy of 3.8. Given that the surface is going to help the pacers, the right-arm fast bowler is likely to have another effective outing.
Ayabonga Khaka SA-W | BOWL
Ayabonga Khaka picked up three wickets at an economy of 4.1 in the second ODI. The right-arm pacer has been impressive in recent times and is likely to do well in the series decider.
Kavisha Dilhari SL-W | BOWL
Kavisha Dilhari has flaunted her all-rounder skills in the series. She picked up two wickets in the 1st ODI, which got washed out after the first innings, and scored 42 runs in the 2nd ODI.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Lara Goodall
SA-W | BAT
Lara Goodall had a forgettable outing in the second ODI. She was dismissed for just 7 runs in 18 balls. There is no guarantee of her performance in the upcoming match and it would be a wise decision to leave her out of your fantasy teams.
Hasini Perera
SL-W | BAT
Hasini Perera struggled to find resistance in the 2nd ODI and was dismissed for 15 runs at a poor strike rate of 42.46. The right-hander seems out of touch, and it's best to leave her out and make room for the other players on your fantasy teams.
