Stars Cricket Club will face Ashtapailu Sports in the second match of the Pune Olympia T20 Trophy 2024 on Sunday, October 13, at the Shinde High School Ground in Pune. The tournament has been organized by the Maharashtra Cricket Association. A total of six teams are participating in this edition of the league.
These six teams are: Ashtapailu Sports, Jain Irrigation, Jets CC, Nok 99, Punit Balan Group, and Stars Cricket Club. Stars Cricket Club and Jets CC are the two new teams that will make their debut this in this edition of the tournament.
A total of 33 matches will be played during the tournament and it will conclude on Tuesday, October 29. It is the second domestic T20 tournament organized by the Maharashtra Cricket Association. The first one is the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL).
Shubhankar Hardikar has been appointed the captain of Stars Cricket Club. He played for Ashtapailu Sports last season. Ashtapailu Sports finished in third place last season with five wins in 10 matches. They lost the final against Nok 99 by 77 runs last season as they were bundled out for 131 runs while chasing the target of 209 runs.
