Scotland and Ireland, two of the teams from Group B will feature in the seventh match of the T20 World Cup 2022 on Wednesday (October 19) at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Scotland started their campaign after defeating West Indies on Monday. They made 160 runs for the loss of five wickets with George Munsey scoring a half-century. Scottish bowlers delivered one of their best performances in T20Is as they managed to restrict the two-time champions to just 118 runs and won the game for their team by 42 runs. Mark Watt starred with the ball as he picked up three wickets for just 12 runs in four overs.
Ireland, on the other hand, lost their opening game against Zimbabwe on Monday. Zimbabwe made 174 runs in 20 overs on the back of a single-handed effort from Sikandar Raza, who scored 82 runs off just 48 deliveries. Ireland had a poor start as they lost four wickets before the end of six overs. They never recovered from this jittery start and fell short of the target by 31 runs. Player Picks
Michael Leask SCO | ALL
The 31-year-old all-rounder didn’t have a great day with the bat in the last game against West Indies as he was dismissed for just four runs. He did compensate for the same with the ball as he picked two important wickets of Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell while giving away just 15 runs from his four overs.
George Munsey SCO | BAT
He won the Player of the Match award against West Indies as he made 66 runs off 53 deliveries and helped the team post a total of 160 runs on the board. This was only his third T20I game this year and his first half-century.
Mark Watt SCO | BOWL
He picked three wickets for just 12 runs in the last game which is also his best bowling figure in T20Is against a Test-playing nation. The last match was his 50th for Scotland and he has now picked a total of 60 wickets at an average of 20.75.

Paul Stirling
IRE | BAT
He has made a 30+ score in the last eight matches only once and has not been in great form recently. He was dismissed for a duck in the last game.
Matthew Cross
SCO | WK
He is one of the most experienced players in Scotland’s squad but might not be a good wicketkeeper pick.
