They eventually lost the game by 19 runs.

Perth Scorchers played against Brisbane Heat in their last match, where Perth Scorchers won the toss and elected to bat. On a slow track, Scorchers had a decent start, but after losing the first wicket, the top and the middle order collapsed. A brilliant partnership for the seventh wicket saved them the game as they reached a good total of 163 runs. Brisbane, in reply, started well, with both the openers looking good, but none of the batters to follow could add significant partnerships to the tally. They were bowled out for 128 and lost the game by 35 runs.

Zak Crawley and Laurie Evans are not available for selection in the upcoming matches. Evans will be playing in the ILT20, while Crawley has been selected in England's squad for the Test series against India and has returned back to England. Marcus Harris has been picked as a replacement player by the Scorchers. Steve Smith has not been named in the squad by the Sixers for this match.
