Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama scored 40-plus runs each. Sri Lanka posted a total of 273 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani, and Faraz Akram picked two wickets each for Zimbabwe. Tapiwa Mufudza took the remaining one wicket. Zimbabwe lost two wickets for 12 runs in four overs before the match was interrupted due to rain.
