Sri Lankan Lions will lock horns with Black Caps in the 2nd Semifinal match of the ECS Cyprus T10 at the Ypsonas Cricket Ground in Limassol on January 28. Sri Lankan Lions were unbeatable in the league stage as they played eight games and were top of the table in Group A. Black Caps, on the other hand, won six of their eight games and finished second in Group B.
Sri Lankan Lions played against Nicosia Tigers CC in their last match where Sri Lankan Lions won the toss and elected to bat. The Lions made an aggressive approach with the bat as their batters came out and played their shots well. They lost just two wickets and with their number three and four each scoring their fifties, they posted a mammoth total of 146 runs on the board. The Tigers gave tough competition starting in an even better manner with the opening stand worth 97 runs. However, once they lost a wicket, it opened floodgates for them and they fell short of the target by just eight runs in the end.
Black Caps squared off against BF Cyprus in their last encounter where BF Cyprus won the toss and elected to bat. They started well with the bat scoring boundaries at regular intervals and at a good pace. However, Matty Hone who came to bat at three looked rusty and used up too many deliveries due to which they could only score 93 runs. Black Caps too started well with the bat but unlike their opponents, they kept getting better as the game progressed. They increased the tempo of the game and won by eight wickets with more than three overs to spare.

Player Picks
Manpreet Sandhu BCP | BAT
Manpreet is the perfect match-winner for your team from both ends of the game. He should be the one to lead your fantasy side with his all-round performances.
Akila Kalugala SLL | BAT
Kalugala has been brilliant in this tournament so far having scored 297 runs in eight matches where he has taken two wickets as well. He can be made captain of your fantasy side.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Subbareddy Alavala
SLL | ALL
Alavala has played six matches but has failed to contribute to his team at all. He should be dropped out of your fantasy team.
Tirupathi Sandireddy
SLL | BAT
Sandireddy has had an ordinary tournament so far where he has been able to scalp just two wickets. He should not be placed in your team.
