Sylhet Strikers (SYL) will lock horns with Chattogram Challengers (CCH) in the 13th match of the Bangladesh Premier League 2024 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on January 29. Sylhet Strikers have lost all their games and are languishing at the bottom of the table, while Chattogram Challengers have won three of their four games and have secured second position so far.

Sylhet Strikers had played against Comilla Victorians in their last encounter, where Sylhet Strikers won the toss and elected to field. On a slow track, Victorians lost the first wicket early but batted well for the second wicket. Later, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals due to which they were limited to a total of 130 runs. Strikers were abysmal in return as no other batters than Zakir Hasan could even stay on the pitch for more than 10 deliveries. As expected, the Strikers lost the game by 52 runs as they were bowled out for just 78.

Chattogram Challengers had played against Fortune Barishal in their last encounter, where Fortune Barishal won the toss and elected to field. Challengers started aggressively but lost a wicket in the first over itself. However, they did not back down with this loss as Avishka Fernando played one of the best knocks this season and helped the team reach a total of 193 runs. Barishal was fantastic with the start as they amassed 55 runs in just five for the first wicket, but unfortunately, the batters to come could not hold the game well. Mehidy did play a fine cameo, but it was too little too late as they lost by just 10 runs.
