The Kovai Kings defeated the Nellai Royal Kings in their last game by nine wickets after chasing down the target of 168 runs in 18.3 overs. Balasubramaniam Sachin scored 76 runs off 48 deliveries before retiring hurt and won the Player of the Match award. The wicketkeeper-batter, J Suresh Kumar, made 63 runs off 55 deliveries and remained unbeaten.
