Thane Tigers (THT) will face Sanpada Scorpions (SAS) in the second match of the Navi Mumbai Premier League 2024 on Monday (February 12) at the Mazgaon Cricket Club Ground in Kalamboli. The Tigers won six out of seven matches last season and finished in first place. The Scorpions managed just a single win and were in the second-last place.

The Tigers faced Mira Bhayander Lions in the final in NMPL 2023. They elected to bat after winning the toss and could make only 133 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Parikshit Valsangkar and Shreeraj Anant Gharat were the highest scorers and made 38 runs each. The Lions chased down the target of 134 on the last delivery of their innings with seven wickets in hand.

Scorpions locked horns against Ambernath Avengers in their last game in 2023 and achieved their sole win. They chased down the target of 147 runs in 19.1 overs and won the match by five wickets. Parag Patil was the most successful bowler for the Scorpions and took three wickets for 24 runs. Shubham Punyarthi starred with the bat and made 73 runs off 55 deliveries.
