Preview
In what promises to be an exciting encounter, AET Tuskers (TUS) are set to take on Western Province (WEP) in Match 25 of the CSA T20 Challenge 2024. The two will meet at the City Oval in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday (March 27).
The league stage of the tournament has already entered the seventh round and both the teams will be looking to secure a qualification berth. Having secured three victories in six matches, WEP currently sits in third place in the points table. Kyle Verreynne's side started their campaign with three straight wins but lost their rhythm in the next three matches.
On the other hand, Tuskers, who have played only four games so far, find themselves in the seventh position after losing three of them. TUS lost three of their initial matches but bounced back with an emphatic eight-wicket win against Imperial Lions (LIO) in their last match.

Player Picks
David Bedingham WPR | BAT
The opening batter displayed his batting prowess in the last match by scoring 49 runs off just 32 balls. He has the ability to anchor the innings as well as accelerate when the situation calls for it.
Keith Dudgeon KNI | ALL
Keith Dudgeon impressed everyone with a four-wicket haul in the last match. His ability to deliver crucial breakthroughs makes him a solid candidate for the captaincy role.
Kyle Verreynne WPR | WK
Kyle Verreynne, who has played 16 Tests and 12 ODIs for South Africa, could be a great pick considering his experience. The WEP captain is likely to lead his team from the front in the upcoming match.
Tony de Zorzi WPR | BAT
The 26-year-old was impressive in the ODI series against India last December, scoring a century. He has proved his mettle on the international stage and is likely to do well for WEP in their next match.
Wayne Parnell WPR | ALL
The veteran Proteas player is the backbone of WEP's bowling unit. The vastly experienced left-arm pacer took two wickets at an economy rate of 5.8 in the last match.
Kyle Simmonds WPR | ALL
Although the pitch doesn't offer much to the spinners, Simmonds is someone who can find a way to get wickets. The left-arm spinner has taken eight wickets in six matches so far and is currently the fifth-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Kagiso Rapulana
KNI | BAT
The TUS opener seems to be struggling to find runs in the ongoing series. He was dismissed for a duck in the match against North West Dragons and played a sluggish innings against LIO.
Alindile Mhletywa
KNI | ALL
Mhletywa struggled to get going in their last match against North West Dragons. He failed to take a wicket and conceded an economy of over 15. Since the pitch supports fast bowlers, it is not a wise decision to include him in your team.
