Ipswich had squared off against Sunshine Coast in their last match, where Ipswich won the toss and elected to bowl. Ipswich opened beautifully with a brilliant knock of 103 runs from the opener, M Harvey and 55 runs by L Scott. They scored 201 runs at the loss of three wickets. M Ray picked two wickets, and R Lutter got one wicket. When Ipswich came to bat, J Wood scored the highest (71) runs, followed by J Cross (37) and L Carter (30). They scored 205 runs for the loss of six wickets and won the match by four wickets.
