Warriors will lock horns with Boland in the 5th match of the CSA 4-Day Series Division 1 at St George’s Park in Gqeberha on November 11. The Warriors have played a game so far in the tournament, which ended up in a draw, and are placed fifth in the rankings. On the other hand, Boland lost their lone match and are placed sixth in the table.
Warriors had squared off against North West in their last encounter, where North West won the toss and elected to bat. They started off really well after choosing to bat with continuous good partnerships from the top order. With two centuries from the team, they were easily able to post a total of 426. Warriors kept losing wickets right from the start, which created problems for them. Their middle order did try and score some runs but still were bowled out for 240. They were given a follow on, but they batted better this time around. However, they were short on time, and the match ended in a draw.
Boland had played against Titans in their last game, where Boland won the toss and elected to bat. After a decent start, Boland seemed to lose track, but their experienced lower middle order saved the day for them and took the team to 268 runs. Titans, in reply, started well but were bowled out pretty well under 209, giving Boland a lead of 59 runs. However, they could not remain in command for much longer and were bundled together for just a total of 197. Titans had a target of 256 runs, the chase for which they started really well and won the match easily by six wickets.
