The Maharajas posted a total of 136 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Brett Lee was the pick of the bowlers for the Giants as he picked three wickets for 18 runs in three overs. Chris Gayle provided a solid start to the Giants and scored a half-century. Wickets kept falling at the other end, but he ensured the Giants crossed the line easily. The Giants won the game by three wickets in 18.4 overs.

Asia Lions faced India Maharajas in their last encounter, where the India Maharajas won the toss, and they elected to field. The Lions had a brilliant start having an opening partnership of 73 runs. Tharanga batted fabulously and scored a brilliant fifty. Although, none of the batters who followed could carry on, and they posted a total of 157 runs for the loss of five wickets. Maharajas then came to chase the total and did not take time to make things serious. Both their openers were on fire as they chased down the score without losing any wicket and with more than seven overs to spare.
