Yorkshire will lock horns with Worcestershire in the 67th match of the Vitality Blast 2023 at the Headingley in Leeds on June 9. Yorkshire have won four out of their seven and are placed in the fifth position in the rankings of the North Group. Worcestershire , on the other hand, have won four of their six matches and are in the second position in the North Group.
Yorkshire had played against Leicestershire in their last encounter, where Yorkshire won the toss and elected to bat. Choosing to bat did not go in their favour, as they lost two wickets early in the game. A decent third-wicket partnership pulled things back a little, but the matter got worse again after they lost five more wickets within just 21 runs. It was a fantastic partnership of unbeaten 78 runs for the eighth wicket, which saved them, and they were able to put up 156 runs on the board. Leicestershire also followed their style, lost two wickets early, and had a good third-wicket partnership, but they did not have anything down the order. Hence they were bowled out for 126, and Yorkshire won the match by 30 runs.
Worcestershire had squared off against Lancashire in their last match, where Lancashire won the toss and elected to field. Worcestershire had a decent start, but they kept losing wickets regularly. They had a good fourth-wicket partnership between Adam Hose and Mitchell Santner. They both played some brilliant shots, and Santner reached his fifty as well. Their innings helped them post a good score of 177 runs on the board. Lancashire had a decent start as well which was further helped by a fifty from Buttler. Mitchell finished the match for them down the order and helped them win the match by four wickets.

Player Picks
Jordan Thompson YOR | ALL
Thompson has been a match-winner on both fronts. He has amassed 90 runs and 11 wickets in seven matches and can be the captain you are looking for.
Brett D'Oliveira WOR | ALL
Brett has been sensational with the bat as well as the ball. He has scalped 11 wickets in just six matches and has also scored 116 runs. He could be a great alternative for the captaincy role.
