Preview
The African Games 2024 is set to start from the 17th of March. Some of the best teams from the African continent, like South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Nigeria, Uganda, and Kenya, will be taking part in the tournament. It is hosted by Ghana, who are also one of the teams taking part in the tournament. A total of eight teams are playing in the African Games 2024.
Eight teams are divided into two groups. Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Uganda are in Group A. The likes of Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe will be in Group B. The first match of the tournament is set to happen between Zimbabwe and Namibia. Both the teams would be hoping to start their campaign on a good note by winning the inaugural match of the season. The key for the teams would be to adapt to the conditions.
Most teams taking part in the tournament are without their key players. South Africa have an entirely fresh squad. Likewise, Zimbabwe also does not have its key players. Only Namibia has the players who are regulars in the team. It will be a good opportunity for the fresh faces to prove what they are capable of doing. The first match of the tournament will start at 2:30 PM on the 17th of March in Accra.

Player Picks
Tadiwanashe Marumani ZIM | BAT
He is one of the fewest players from Zimbabwe to have the exposure of playing amongst the best players in the world. With his keeping and batting, Marumani will be crucial for the success of Zimbabwe.
Ruben Trumpelmann NAM | BOWL
Ruben Trumpelmann can swing the ball away from the left handers. With his height, Ruben will be a tough customer to handle. He can even bat a bit if necessary.
Jan Frylinck NAM | BOWL
The bowling all-rounder has the experience of playing at the highest level. The Southpaw can add some runs with the bat and bowl in the powerplay and the death overs.
Trevor Gwandu ZIM | ALL
The Zimbabwean pacer is.likely to be the leader of the attack. To contain the Namibian batting lineup, Gwandu must be able to get his line and lengths right, which is a trait he's known for.
Takudzwa Chataira ZIM | BOWL
Chataira can be handy with the old ball in the middle overs phase. Given the nature of the team, Chataira can fit into it as there is room for only a few credits.
Handre Klazinga NAM | BOWL
The Zimbabwean bowler is known for his economical spells. Given the nature of the pitches in Ghana, he could be one of the key bowlers for Zimbabwe despite the low ratings.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Brian Bennett
ZIM | ALL
He has not been in a food form coming into the tournament. Considering the strength of the bowling attacks, one must be wary of picking Bennett particularly when he lacks confidence.
Alex Falao
ZIM | BOWL
It is interesting to see who would start for Zimbabwe, as they have a lot of bowlers. Since there are not many spots for the bowlers, Falao is not likely to be in the XI.
