Fastest Double Hundreds In ODIs: Scoring a double century is slowing become a common occurrence in ODI cricket. The first double century was scored exactly on the same day 24th February, 2010 by Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar against the strong South African side at Gwalior.

Five years after the remarkable achievement by the batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, there have been four double centuries scored. He did it against lowly ranked Zimbabwe in just 138 deliveries and has become the fastest to reach the double hundred. He started slowly but accelerated his innings after completing his century.

On the 8th December 2011, Virender Sehwag scored his double ton in 140 balls and finished at a score of 219. He became the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar achieves this feat. The nawab of najafgarh hit 25 boundaries and seven sixes in his innings overall and bettered the previous highest score of 200* by Sachin Tendulkar. The record stood for a long period before being broken by Rohit Sharma.

Sachin Tendulkar was the first batsman ever in the history of ODI cricket to score a double century. He achieved this outstanding feat against South Africa at Gwalior five years ago on 24th February 2010. He reached the double century mark in just 147 deliveries. He remained not out at the score of 200 at the end of the innings and is till date the only batsman to stay unbeaten.

Sharma took only 151 deliveries to reach his double century this time. He smashed every Lankan bowlers that day and was at his best batting form. He scored a world record 264 in that match with the help of 33 boundaries and 9 sixes.

On November 2nd 2013, Rohit Sharma scored his first double century against Australia at M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. He also became the youngest batsman to achieve this extraordinary feat. It took him 156 deliveries to reach this milestone which is the most by any batsman till date and his innings ended at the score of 209. His double century included 12 boundaries and 16 sixes.
