On the 8^th December 2011, Virender Sehwag scored his double ton in 140 balls and finished at a score of 219. He became the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar achieves this feat. The nawab of najafgarh hit 25 boundaries and seven sixes in his innings overall and bettered the previous highest score of 200* by Sachin Tendulkar. The record stood for a long period before being broken by Rohit Sharma.
