Rishabh Pant stands under a lot of questions as well as criticism after he failed yet again to perform with his bat in the Pink ball practice test match ahead of the main Test series. Rishabh Pant was already out from the white ball series owing to his falling form and fitness. Aakash Chopra recently stated that he has gone to Australia just as a tourist so far.

However, he got the chance to put forward his case as he featured in the first practice Test match in Adelaide. He failed terribly to perform with the bat as he departed for just five runs after facing 11 deliveries. It was a great chance for young Pant to cement his place as India was struggling at 102 runs with four batsmen back to the pavilion.

He failed to seize the day and headed back to the dressing room. He got his chance along with his senior counterpart Wriddhiman Saha who gave in his best in the first practice match to bring back the team from the mouth of defeat. Pant tried to middle some short deliveries before pacer Jack Wildermuth attacked him with a full-length delivery, which got the better of Pant in no time. Twitter turned furious after seeing a row of inconsistencies from Pant in near time.

The dismal performance by Delhi boy has confirmed Wriddhiman Saha’s place in the upcoming first Test match against India. It will be the day-night Test that would see the light of the day in Adelaide on December 17. Talking about the practice match, India set the perfect tone after they amassed 72 runs in just eight overs despite the early https://twitter.com/YashwikYellapu/status/1337281493593276416loss of Mayank Agarwal.

Prithvi Shaw showed determination to bring 40 runs for the team. Shubman Gill also put his best foot forward as he brought 43 runs in his account in absence of seasoned Cheteshwar Pujara. However, after Gill’s departure, the downfall for India began, and Pant couldn’t muster the courage to battle the odds.
