4. AB and Virat’s camaraderie on social media

Both of them have always heaped praises on each other and have celebrated each other’s achievements on social media. While ABD retired from all forms of cricket, Virat posted a heartfelt note saying it hurts him a lot that he is leaving RCB and he loves him with a heartbroken emoji. Back in 2020, Virat also posted a photo of him and AB on Twitter earlier saying, “The most special thing about sport is the friendship and mutual respect you share with your teammates along your journey. Sport is beautiful”. This tweet just indicates the kind of affection and respect they have between them.

When Kohli’s decision to omit Ravi Ashwin in the fourth test against England was widely criticized. AB quickly came to the skipper’s defense. AB tweeted, “ As spectators of Test Cricket, just stop worrying about team selection and other nonsense and start appreciating the competition, passion, skill, and patriotism unfolding in front of your eyes. You are missing a good game!”.

Recently, AB de Villiers imitated Virat Kohli’s style of celebration in a cheeky way after a match in IPL which led to a burst of laughter in the dressing room.
