Now, this should ring a lot of bells. This was the first instance when Kohli hogged the biggest column in Australian newspapers (Few newspapers even put it on the front page). Unfortunately for the youngster, it wasn’t for a good reason.

After some repeated personal assaults on Kohli, the Delhi boy got infuriated and flicked his finger at the crowd. The repercussions of the incident were severe as the Australian media and crowd made his life miserable by following him every place he went.

He was later penalized with a fine by the match referee, but the scar of that wound never really vanished. Every time Kohli goes to Australia, there’s some section in the fans who still will go hard on him and make his job all the more challenging.
