Five reasons why Rohit Sharma is a better captain than Virat Kohli
Kohli might be the best batsman but he lacks a lot of things when it comes to leading a side.
2) Trusting the core of the team
The current Indian skipper is an admirable cricketer, but cricket is a team sport where each player is to be trusted equally. While donning the blue jersey Virat always keeps faith on his players but surprisingly he forgets it while playing for the Bangalore franchise. After becoming the skipper of RCB, he has never had the same set of players for two consecutive seasons which will always result in failures in the long run.
In the current season, Shimron Hetmyer should have been the X-factor for Bangalore in middle-order but after a few bad outings, he was dropped. In the same scenario, Rohit has always trusted the core players, and the prime example is of Kieron Pollard’s inclusion in the team during IPL 2018 when he was going through a rough patch. In this season he has repaid the faith showed in him and has won matches for them single-handedly. Kohli should try to stick with a particular set of players, as some players will bloom after enough confidence is instilled in them.
