If Virat Kohli is the north pole, Rohit Sharma is the south pole in terms of captaincy. These two follow a completely different approach while leading a side. While the former is very aggressive and gets frustrated if things don’t go his way for a long period, the latter doesn’t freak out a bit even in the worst of situations. Yet again, the IPL is a testimony for this and the match against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup is the latest example.

When the Hong Kong openers stunned the fraternity with an unbelievable fightback, Rohit Sharma was as cool as he usually is. Although he vented out his frustrations at times, not once did he let it take over his teammates’ emotions. He backed the young Khaleel Ahmed after the initial hammering and got him to pick three wickets. “As a captain, it’s my duty to know the strengths of my players and read their mind, and find out what they can do for the team,” Rohit had said during the Asia Cup.
