Five years after sending her the first message Sanju Samson pronounces his love in front of the world

In India cricketers enjoy a huge celebrity status in the country and with all the fame comes a share of difficulties. Their personal life, private affairs and relationships becomes a matter of public interest. Whenever they are spotted with a female companion it sparks speculations about their dating life and what not. Sanju Samson one of the promising talents in the country managed to keep his relationship private till it was time for the world to know of it.

The 23-year-old has only played one T20I for India and is in the reckoning constantly to be picked in the national squad. He has been a regular member of the India A side which is just one step away from the main team. Samson recently was a part of the India A team that played the Quadrangular series at home and will now have to sit out of the first few games in the Vijay Hazare Trophy since he has been sanctioned by the Kerala Cricket Association.

He put up a Facebook post announcing his relationship status officially and mentioned that it was in August of 2013 that he messaged Charu for the first time. Since that day, he had been waiting to tell the world that he loves this girl. Charu and Sanju were classmates at the Mar Ivanios College and after dating for a while they managed to get a nod from their parents and will soon tie the knot.

Samson posted a picture with the love of his life and wrote: “…11.11 p.m. on 22nd August 2013 was when I sent a ‘Hi’ to her. From that day till now, almost five years I have waited to put a picture with her and tell the world that I am in love with this special girl.

“We spent time together, but couldn’t walk together publicly. But from today we can. Thanks a lot to our parents for agreeing to this happily. Feeling and always felt really happy and blessed to have someone special like you with me CHARU. I would request everyone to bless us from your heart and greet us with a smile,” he said.
