Former KKR Team Director Joy Bhattacharya posts a heartfelt message for Yusuf Pathan on his birthday
In an interesting revelation, the former KKR Director shared about how Yusuf Pathan spent his last cash expenses payment.
Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan turned 37 years old on Sunday. The Baroda cricketer, thus, was flocked with wishes on social media. Right from his teammates to well-wishers and the fans, everyone took it to various platforms to wish Yusuf. Of the many people who wished the cricketer, the best message surely came from Joy Bhattacharya. Joy, who is a cricket analyst and presenter, has got a close relationship with Yusuf Pathan.
Joy was earlier associated with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL as the Team Director. It is the same team that Yusuf had represented for several years in the cash-rich league. Having spent time in close quarters with the senior Pathan, Joy understands him really well. It clearly showed in his birthday message that he posted. Joy Bhattacharya showered praises for Yusuf and spoke about the kind of man he is.

In his tweet, Joy Bhattacharya wrote that Yusuf’s hotel room was always full of friends and food. In an interesting revelation, the former KKR Director shared about how Yusuf Pathan spent his last cash expenses payment. Joy wrote that the 37-year-old used to take it and wouldn’t even bother counting the same or opening it. Instead, he used to entire money to the ground staff at Eden Gardens. Joy referred to the cricketer as a big man with a bigger heart.
He wrote, “A man whose hotel room was always full of friends & food. A man who would take his last cash expenses payment & hand it over without even opening or counting the money to the Eden Gardens ground staff. Happy birthday to a big cricketer with an even bigger heart @iamyusufpathan.”

Yusuf Pathan, who is possibly in the twilight of his career, still continues to be an integral part of the Baroda set-up. He is one of their main men and his experience comes in handy for the team. However, on the IPL front, he will have to find new bidders for the upcoming season. The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) parted ways with him recently.
