India produced a thoroughly professional performance against the Windies at Old Trafford on Thursday by winning the game by 125 runs. Winning the toss and electing to bat on a sunny day, Virat Kohli’s men put up a total of 268 for 7 in 50 overs. The Caribbeans had no answer to India’s bowling thereafter and were all out for 143 in the 35th over. This result saw the Men in Blue reaching the second position in the points table with a tally of 11 while the Windies crashed out of yet another World Cup.
The Indian bowlers came out with a clinical performance yet again to derail the Windies’ chase after they were placed at 71/2. All of their main bowlers took wickets with Mohammed Shami producing yet another four-for (4 for 16). Jasprit Bumrah put up another exhibition of impeccable bowling as he finished with 2 for 9 in six overs. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took 2 for 39 while Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya also picked a wicket each. The Man of the Match award though went to captain Kohli for his 72.
Razzaq’s coaching offer
Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq came up with observation after the game and it was on Hardik Pandya’s batting. The 39-year-old who took 269 wickets for Pakistan besides scoring over 5,000 runs said in a tweet that he found some fault with the Indian all-rounder’s body balance when hitting the ball hard on the wicket besides in his footwork.
He also offered to coach Hardik Pandya on those technical aspects and said he could make him one of the best all-rounders if not the best. The former Pakistan cricketer even said that if the Indian cricket board wants a better all-rounder out of the 25-year-old, he is available to make a contribution.
Hardik, who scored 46 off 38 balls in Thursday’s game to give the Indian innings a necessary push when MS Dhoni was struggling to score quick, took the wicket of Sunil Ambris. He has taken five wickets in as many games for India in this World Cup besides playing some breezy knocks.
Here’s Razzaq’s tweet:
So today I have been closely observing Hardik pandya and I feel like I see a lot of faults in his body’s balance when hitting the bowl hardly and I observed his footwork aswell and I see that also let’s him down sometimes and I feel like if I give him Coaching in for example UAE

I can make him one of the best all rounders if not the best and if BCCI wants to make him a better all rounder I will always be available. Thanks
