The Chennai Super Kings were recently crowned the champions of the IPL 2018. They registered a clinical win over the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finals to win their third IPL title. The good wishes have been coming their way ever since the big win. Now, the Men in Yellow have received a congratulatory message from Pakistan too. Former Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq took to Twitter to congratulate CSK.

The unhealthy cricketing relations between India and Pakistan is not hidden to anyone. The two sides have not faced off against each other in a bilateral series since 2012. This is due to the political tensions that is constantly brewing up between the two neighboring countries. The tensions have reflected severely on the sporting ties between the two countries. As a result of the same, the Pakistani players are not allowed to play in the Indian Premier League.

As IPL has distanced away from Pakistan, the players from Pakistan also refrain from commenting anything on the IPL. However, with Saqlain Mushtaq posting a tweet for the Chennai Super Kings, the ice-breaker seems to have been initiated. Mushtaq, in his tweet, congratulated the Super Kings on winning the IPL title. He remarked that he loved to see the players in action. He tagged Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, and Imran Tahir in his tweet as well.

Here is what Saqlain Mushtaq had to say:

“Many Congratulations to @ChennaiIPL on winning the final. Well done @harbhajan_singh @ImRaina @msdhoni @ImranTahirSA and the rest of the boys @IPL good to see you all in action,” Saqlain Mushtaq wrote in his tweet.

The message from Saqlain really deserves a lot of appreciation as he has not let the political tensions dominate the cricketing emotions. In other news, the cricket boards of the two countries are set to meet in Dubai for negotiations soon. In the same regard, the BCCI recently asked the Indian Union Government to indicate their stance on the bilateral cricket ties with Pakistan.
