For the last decade or so, Pakistan was considered an unsafe country to tour by cricket boards and teams, after the terrorist attacks which left a few Sri Lankan cricketers and officials injured. However, with the return of the Pakistan Super league (PSL) in the country, and the World XI game, cricket boards across the world (except India) have shown interest in playing cricket in the country.
The Windies Women’s team is in Pakistan, playing a three-match T20I series in the country and hold a 2-0 lead heading into the final match. In the wake of all the hullabaloo, former Windies batsman and who is currently with the women’s team acting as the assistant coach Gus Logie has come out in support of Pakistan and said that it is a safe and sports-loving country and their hospitality is also warm.
“Pakistan’s a safe, peaceful & sports-loving country. I’m hopeful international teams, including Windies men’s side will visit Pakistan soon to enjoy the warm hospitality of Pakistani people, “ Pakistan journalist Saj Sadiq quoted Logie as saying on his Twitter handle.

After the conclusion of the ODI series, the women will also face-off in an ODI series that, however, will be played in the United Arab Emirates.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is actively working on its plan to ensure the resumption of international cricket on their home soil. After the final and knockouts of the last couple of seasons, they will now host eight of the tournament in Pakistan to prove the security and other measures.
