Hardik Pandya’s cricketing journey has been full of twists and turns so far. Making his international debut in 2016, the Baroda-born cricketer seemed to have ended India’s never-ending quest for a fast-bowling all-rounder. He even did well in the international arena and many evn backed him to a long way. However, injuries and controversies largely hampered his career.
While the ‘Koffe with Karan’ fiasco is the most notable instance, Pandya has found himself in hot waters on multiple occasions. In one of the recent incidents, the all-rounder was spotted by the paps as he stepped out of a restaurant. Needless to mention, his fans gathered around him to click photos. While Hardik was gracious enough to pose for the photos, his behavior with one of the fans didn’t amuse netizens.

The fan tried to click a snap and kept his hand on the shoulder which Hardik didn’t approve of. The all-rounder subsequently removed his hand. The video of the same went viral in no time and has been getting mixed responses. While many fans defended Hardik saying the all-rounder was concerned about the COVID-19 protocols, majority of them found his behavior rude.

Meanwhile, Hardik was last seen in the T20 World Cup 2021, where India endured a horrendous campaign. The all-rounder’s performance also came under the scanner as he wasn’t bowling much due to his fitness issues. His bat didn’t do much talking either. Interestingly, Hardik was dropped for the subsequent three-match T20I series against New Zealand, which indicated the selectors have decided to find another pace-bowling all-rounder.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya opted out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy in order to regain full fitness. The 28-year-old is currently going through an extensive rehabilitation program in Mumbai in order to regain his fitness.
“The Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) had sent an e-mail to Hardik enquiring about his availability for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has rarely played for Baroda in the last three years. However, he gave a one-line reply that he is currently doing rehab in Mumbai,” a senior official, privy to developments in BCA, was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda.
