Batting first, the boys in blue posted a massive total of 290 runs on the board on the back of a stunning century from skipper Yash Dhull and a brilliant 94 from vice-captain Shaik Rasheed. Former England captain Michael Vaughan was so impressed with the youngsters performing well and stated that the future looks secured for the Indian team. He was also particularly stunned looking at captain Yash Dhull bat and termed him exceptional.

Spinners strangle Australia to seal a place in final
Chasing 291 runs was never going to be easy and Australia colts realised it soon with Ravi Kumar dismissing one of their openers early. Campbell Kellaway and Corey Miller then stitched a 68-run stand before the spinners took centrestage for India to derail Australia’s innings completely. The spin quartet of Kaushal Tambe, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Vicky Ostwal and Nishant Sindhu picked seven wickets between them.
They conceded only 110 runs in 25 overs bowled together and never let Australia come back into the game. Lachlan Shaw fought a lonely battle scoring a fifty but never threatened to take the game away from India. Eventually, Australia were bundled out for just 194 runs in the 42nd over losing the game by 96 runs.
India will face England in the final of the U19 World Cup now on February 5 (Saturday) at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. This is the fourth consecutive final for the India colts while England have qualified for the first time since 1998.
