A day after voicing his opinion that there are a lot of other individuals who deserve a biopic more than the much celebrated cricketers of the country Gautam Gambhir today Tweeted that in his opinion the men who sacrifice their lives for the country are the ones who should be honored with biopics and not just the players.

Following the terrorist attack on the Brigade HQ in the Uri town of Jammu & Kashmir where 17 Indian Army jawans lost their lives, Gambhir Tweeted that the martyrs who are an inspiration deserve a biopic.

He wrote – ‘These 17 martyrs deserv a biopic rather dan any cricketer. No better inspiration dan a young man sacrificing his life 4 his country.’

The soldiers don’t guard the borders for the salary, which in any case isn’t anything significant in comparison to what Indian cricketers pocked. Gambhir mentioned it in his tweet, ‘And these Jawans sacrifice their lives for paltry salaries n not disproportionate money & adulation reserved for us cricketers. Wake up.’

Yesterday he had posted a photo on his Twitter account which quoted him saying, “I don’t believe in biopics on cricketers. I think those people who have contributed more to the country than the cricketers deserve a biopic. There are lots of people in the country who have done so many noble deeds for the nation. Therefore, biopics should be made on their lives,”

A lot of fans equated the timing of the post to the release of Indian limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic ‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’ and that of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar as well. But Gambhir cleared that out with a tweet as well and said, ‘My detractors got it wrong. Am not against ANY ONE cricketer’s biopic, am against d very concept which includes a biopic on my life.’
