Delhi is facing severe pollution problem, people are suffering from breathing issues. To tackle this, the Delhi government has decided to start a massive plantation drive aimed at reducing pollution levels. Indian cricketer, Gautam Gambhir tweeted that government should also try to preserve the trees to make the plan successful.
Gautam Gambhir’s reply to Kejriwal’s tweet
Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that Delhi government has planned a huge plantation drive. He mentioned that a meeting is scheduled on Sunday, to discuss the involvement of citizens in the plan.

Gautam Gambhir replied to this tweet as he congratulated the government and chief minister for this step. He admitted that he doesn’t have much knowledge about the subject but he made a point that government should also take steps regarding the preservation of trees. The left-handed batsman suggested that the government should try to adopt trees as it can help in preserving them.

He requested the Chief Minister to think about this aspect too. Arvind Kejriwal agreed with Gambhir’s point of view and accepted that it is very important too.

The reply of Gambhir caught the attention of many people including MLA of Aam Aadmi Party, Saurabh Bhardwaj. The MLA from greater Kailash even invited Gambhir to be part of the initiative. He appreciated Gambhir’s suggestion and also enquired if the Indian batsman would like to part of the initiative.
He said that participation of Gautam Gambhir could serve as an inspiration for other citizens to join this noble cause initiated by the Delhi government.
