Gautam Gambhir replaces KL Rahul in the squad for the 2nd Test

The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has recalled opener Gautam Gambhir to the test squad which is set to play against New Zealand on 30th September at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Off-spinner Jayant Yadav has also reaped in the benefits of a successful domestic season and has made his way into the team.
While Jayant Yadav has received his maiden call to the national team, tt is delightful to see veteran Gautam Gambhir, who last played Tests for India three ago at Oval against England, return to the squad.
Gambhir was a hot talking point among cricket fans today when it was revealed that Gambhir has been called for a fitness test and may potentially make a comeback of KL Rahul is ruled out of the second test.
Calls for Gambhir’s inclusion in the Test squad intensified after his wonderful run in the Duleep Trophy where he led India Blue to title victory.
