Gautam Gambhir serves hope on Children's day, Twitterati shower love

Veteran Indian cricketer, Gautam Gambhir, is one of the most active cricketers when it comes to social service. He has been very vocal about his opinions on the social cause. Time and again, Gambhir has posted updates praising the efforts of the army and that has shown the patriot side of the Delhi batsman. Most recently, he hadspoken in the favor of the national anthem and had opined that there is no harm in standing for the anthem.
He had rightly questioned the ethics of people not obliging to do so. Now, on the occasion of Children’s Day (November 14), Gautam Gambhir was seen spending time with the underprivileged kids. He had launched his foundation named ‘Gautam Gambhir Foundation’ recently.
The GGF had initiated the movement called ‘Ek Asha’ in August this year, which aimed at feeding food to the underprivileged kids. Gambhir had noted that setting up the daily kitchens for the ones in need is as special as winning the World Cup for the country. For the facts, Gambhir has been a part of the World Cup winning Indian team in 2007 and 2011.
Gambhir posted a video of himself serving the underprivileged kids on the Children’s day. He wrote an emotional message along with the video. He remarked that he is not serving food to the kids, but serving hope.

It did not take long for the followers to comment on Gambhir’s post. His fellow team India player, Harbhajan Singh, was certainly bowled over by the lovely gesture. Harbhajan praised Gautam Gambhir and thanked him for the initiative. He wrote, “Gauti love u man. Rab tenu bhut khush rakhe. thank you for doing this.”
Meanwhile, the fans were not left far behind either. The fans also flooded the post with their responses on it. Many thanked Gambhir for his initiative. There were a few who picked up a leaf of humanity from the books of Gambhir.
