Gautam Gambhir is not only known for his cricketing achievements but also for his philanthropical interests off the field. Be it generating funds for the Indian ice hockey team, or donating money to the families of soldiers. He has always stood up in support of social causes and is known to have a soft corner for the Indian jawans who guard us on the border 24*7.

Remember how the former India opener lashed out on Twitter when CRPF jawans were attacked in Kashmir? Remember he donated his entire IPL prize money to CRPF’s Sukma attack martyrs? The Kolkata Knight Riders’ skipper now wants his fans to do the same – respect and support the soldiers. He doesn’t want any monetary help from you, Gautam wants you to show basic courtesy towards them. And he explains what exactly he wants you to do through a video on Twitter.

Become more courteous towards the jawans

Many a times, we come across soldiers but do not interact with them, or at the least, hesitate to say a “Thank You”. The jawans, who protect us risking their lives, at least deserve a “thank you”. Gambhir’s video which will make you think over how our soldiers need to be treated.
